Dr. Jae I. Hwang

Dr. Jae Hwang was born and raised in Korea. Upon high school graduation, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. There, he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

In 1995, Dr. Hwang received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. He went on to serve in the US Army where he finalized his education in 2009 with a specialty degree in Endodontics. He became board certified in 2014.

Dr. Hwang served as the Commander of the US Army DENTAC Korea and the Director of Dental Service, NATO Role III Combat Hospital, Kandahar Afghanistan. After 26 years of active service in the US Army, Dr. Hwang honorably retired as a Colonel in April of 2021. He is a diplomate of American Board of Endodontics, a fellow of International College of Dentists (ICD), and a recipient of Order of Military Medical Merits.

Dr. Hwang and his wife Tracey have two children. They enjoy being together as a family and traveling the world. Together, Dr. Hwang and Tracey are excited about serving the endodontic needs of the Duluth, Snellville, and surrounding areas and look forward to being a part of the community.
